Nigerian entertainers going into politics are beginning to face the fireworks involved in the political terrain in Nigeria. At the House of Assembly primaries of the All Progressive Congress which held in Lagos today, gospel singer and Kennis Music executive, Kenny Saint Best lost out in her bid to represent the Ikeja Constituency Folajimi Mohammed, son of APC Publicity Secretary.
In his own case however, news reaching us say Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot just grabbed the party’s ticket for the Surulere 1 Constituency. NET gathered that the producer and director clinched the slot to represent Surulere at the Lagos State House of Assembly come 2015 ahead of 4 main challengers. Desmond Elliot, a Lagos State indigene born to a Yoruba father and Igbo mother, is a 2003 Economics graduate of the Lagos State University.
